Scott Tallman, B. Comm., LL.B.
Scott’s marketing career began in 1993 at SMART Technologies, then a small company of around 20 people but now known worldwide for the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. SMART won numerous awards for innovation in education and business, including awards for excellence in higher education markets. Scott was the Vice President of Marketing at SMART from 2001 until 2006, a period of steady growth and global expansion at SMART. Scott left SMART in 2006 for law school, and he was called to the bar in 2010. Scott had a commercial litigation practice for seven years, where he usually acted in larger disputes that were often complex financially or legally — or sometimes both. With Hedhome, Scott hopes to be able to use his technology marketing and legal experience to develop new, innovative models for delivering and improving how we teach and learn.
Pat Weinmayr, B. Comm.
Vice President Sales and Marketing
Pat brings over 20 years experience in technology and education marketing experience to Hedhome. Working at SMART Technologies from 1995 to 2000 and again from 2006 to 2012, his most recent role at SMART was as Corporate Strategy Manager where he managed strategic alliances with fortune 500 companies and intellectual property and technology acquisitions from higher education institutions. From 2000 to 2005, Pat was the Director of Marketing for a venture-capital financed optical networking start-up. In 2012, Pat joined the management team at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology as the director of Products and Partnerships where he was responsible for the research, development and marketing of new continuing education and contract training programs. In this role, Pat implemented and managed SAIT’s program licensing strategy and intellectual property for new and licensed programming.
